My mother commissioned this stag in exchange for bailing me out. The original is still taken out of the garage every spring, and placed in her herbaceous border. Her neighbour Geoffrey has become an expert in fixing the bits of oak back on when they fall off. The piece was editioned in bronze, which obviously can last indefinitely outside. The problem with the originals is that the wood expands when wet, and the resin glue does not. So I do not sell originals to be left outside. They really need to be under a shelter of some kind.
